LAKE NORMAN REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER WELCOMES PHARMACY DIRECTOR, INFECTION CONTROL/EMPLOYEE HEALTH DIRECTOR AND DIETITIAN

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome W. Reginald Faulkner, Pharm.D., as Director of Pharmacy, Janice S. Martin, RN, BSN, CIC, as Infection Control/Employee Health Director, and Amanda L. Downs as Dietitian.

 

W. Reginald “Reggie” Faulkner was most recently Director of Pharmacy and Clinical Services at Franklin Regional Medical Center in Louisburg, NC, where he previously served as Clinical/Staff Pharmacist.  He has also served on the pharmacy staffs at Granville Regional Medical Center, in Oxford, NC, and Chatham Memorial Hospital in Siler City, NC.  Faulkner received his Doctor of Pharmacy from Campbell University School of Pharmacy in Buies Creek, NC.

 

Janice “Jan” S. Martin, RN, BSN, CIC, was previously Regulatory and Core Measure Coordinator at Davis Regional Medical Center in Statesville where she also held prior roles as Director of Quality and Risk Management, Director of Staff Development and Infection Control, and Staff Education Coordinator.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UNC-Charlotte, Charlotte, NC, and she holds her Certification in Infection Control.  She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing from Gardner-Webb University, Shelby, NC.

 

 

Amanda L. Downs, MS, RD, LDN, joins the hospital from Carolinas Medical Center-Mercy, Morrison Healthcare, where she served as Clinical/Outpatient Dietitian.  She previously served a Dietetic Internship with University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, OH.  Downs received her Master of Science in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, and she received her Bachelor of Science degree, graduating summa cum Laude from Miami University, in Oxford, OH.
