National Hospital Week – May 12-18 COO Editorial/Letter
A hospital provides more than medical care, it fosters health and well-being in the community. It provides care and comfort, brings new life into the world, and educates people on how to lead healthy lives. A hospital is a trusted health care partner, a neighbor you can count on 24/7.
National Hospital Week, which runs from May 12-18, is a celebration of the history, technology and dedicated professionals that make our hospitals beacons of confidence and care. This year’s theme, “A Guiding Light for Changing Times,” highlights the important role hospitals play in their communities.
And what makes a hospital a trusted partner? The people. It’s the people who give it life, who make it a place you can count on. It’s the doctors who diagnose and treat; the nurses who provide comfort and care; the staff members who check you in or who help keep the hospital clean. These are the people who allow the hospital to deliver high-quality care with compassion and kindness.
I’d like to recognize the men and women who make that care possible at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center — it’s because of them that you trust us with your care. Thank you for allowing us to serve you.
