Chief Nursing Officer Announced at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center

Marie Marks, CNO

Mooresville, NC (April 10, 2014) – Marie Marks, BSN, RN, RNC-OB, has been named Chief Nursing Officer for Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. Marks had been serving as the hospital’s Interim CNO since September 2013 when she was promoted to the Chief Nursing Officer position in January. She has been with the hospital for over 17 years. She has served in various nursing positions spanning 27 years including charge nurse, supervisor, educator, and, most recently, Director of Women’s Services for Lake Norman Regional.

Marks has held numerous membership and leadership positions within local and state professional nursing organizations, most currently serving as President of NC-AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) for four years and leading over 900 members. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Nursing – Leadership and Management to be completed in May of this year.

Marks and her husband, Scott, have three children and reside in Mooresville. She and her family are involved and very active in community, church and school activities.
