Mooresville, NC (March 14, 2013) – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center and Iredell County EMS will host a health fair to educate the community about stroke and chest pain awareness. The free event will take place on Saturday, March 30th, from 10 am to 2 pm at Walmart located at 169 Norman Station Boulevard in Mooresville.
Annabelle Black, RN, BSN, FSN, Clinical Nurse Coordinator for Chest Pain and Stroke at Lake Norman Regional, says, “Lake Norman Regional Medical Center strives to make a difference in the lives of the community by educating them on heart attack and stroke symptoms.”
Black and other Lake Norman Regional staff members will be present at the health fair to give free glucose, cholesterol, and blood pressure screenings. They will also educate the public on early heart attack care as well as the risk factors, signs, and symptoms of strokes. Iredell County EMS will perform CPR demonstrations as well as teaching the proper procedures to attendees.
