Lake Norman Imaging Center celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month

LNRMC to hold luncheon aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center (LNRMC) is partnering with its Lake Norman Imaging Center to host a luncheon on Monday, October 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to raise awareness about breast cancer.  The luncheon will take place at the Lake Norman Imaging Center located at 146 Medical Park Road, Suite 100, Mooresville NC.

With the month of October being “Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” this luncheon is designed to focus on that theme by providing local residents with an opportunity to support the “Think Pink” initiative.  Participants will be provided a light lunch while also learning more about LNRMC and the Imaging Center, and what benefits and services both have to help those affected by breast cancer.

The Lake Norman Imaging Center has recently been designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR).  The ACR recognizes breast imaging centers that have earned accreditation in all of the College’s voluntary, breast-imaging accreditation programs, in addition to the mandatory Mammography Accreditation Program.  By receiving this designation, Lake Norman Imaging Center is able to provide its patients a facility with high-practicing standards in image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs.

A physician “Meet & Greet” is planned for the luncheon, as well as guided tours of the Imaging Center, same-day mammograms, total cholesterol and glucose screenings, and some health vendors will be present.

For questions regarding the luncheon, contact the LNRMC’s ONE CALL scheduling service at 704-660-4920.
