Lake Norman Regional Medical Center Announces March Life Line Screenings

MOORESVILLE, NC (March 4, 2013) – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center partners with Life Line Screening. Together, they offer affordable, convenient medical screenings. Local stroke screenings will take place on March 18th and March 22nd. During these screenings, a painless ultrasound will check to see the plaque build-up in arteries, a leading cause of stroke.

At Life Line Screening, the mission is to make people aware of unrecognized health problems and encourage them to seek follow-up care with their personal physician. They are the leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings in the United States. They use advanced ultrasound equipment, the same as the equipment found in hospitals, and their screenings are performed by highly trained healthcare professionals. Results are reviewed by board-certified physicians to ensure the highest standards.

Since its inception in 1993, Life Line Screening has screened over 7 million people, and currently screens over 1 million people each year at over 16,000 screening events nationwide. Through this experience, they often identify serious health issues and have helped save thousands of lives. They are dedicated to providing the highest quality preventive screenings at affordable rates.

The upcoming screenings will take place 9 am to 5 pm at the following locations:

  • Monday, March 18th- Boger City Baptist Church, Lincolnton
  • Friday, March 22nd- Ramah Presbyterian Church, Huntersville

The cost of a stroke/carotid artery screening is $60.

Pre-registration is required for each event. To register, please call 1-877-237-1383. If unable to attend the March screenings, additional screenings will take place on April 4th and 10th. For more information about Life Line Screening, please visit www.LifeLineScreening.com/community-partners.
