MOORESVILLE, NC (August 9, 2013) – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center and the American Heart Association will host Heartsaver CPR and First Aid training courses. Both courses will be held on Thursday, September 12th. First Aid training will be from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. CPR training will be from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Training will take place in Room B at LNRMC and will be open to the public.
The Heartsaver CPR training is designed to teach basic skills in recognizing and treating life-threatening emergencies like choking and cardiac arrest. Participants will learn to recognize warning signs of heart attacks and strokes in adults and breathing difficulties in children and adults.
The First Aid training is designed to teach the fundamentals of first aid, as it pertains to medical injuries and environmental emergencies. Participants will receive a card for successfully completing the training.
The courses can be taken together for $70 or individually. If taken individually, the Heartsaver CPR course is $50 and the First Aid course is $30.
