The Center for Surgical Weight Loss at Lake Norman and T. Ryan Heider, MD, Bariatric Medical Director, will host the first annual Walk from Obesity on Saturday, April 28. On-site registration will begin at 7:30 am and the walk will begin at 8 am at the new Cornelius Road Park in Mooresville.
The Annual Walk from Obesity is the only National event where individuals affected by obesity come together to walk and raise awareness of obesity, morbid obesity and childhood obesity.
The Walk from Obesity raises money for funding research, increasing education, raising awareness of obesity, conducting advocacy, eliminating stigma and supporting community initiatives. The first year fundraising goal for The Center for Surgical Weight Loss at Lake Norman is $10,000.
