Mooresville, N.C. – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center is holding the “Put Out the Fire of Heartburn” Seminar on Tuesday, September 18, at 6 p.m. in the hospital’s Community Rooms.  The seminar will provide an opportunity to learn more about a new treatment aimed at providing a solution for chronic heartburn or acid reflux.

Peyton Davis, MD, FACS, is the first surgeon in North Carolina to be certified to conduct this new procedure called, Transoral Incision-less Fundoplication (TIF).  TIF is an incision-less surgery that uses the EsophyX device.  Davis is a board certified surgeon.

The public is invited to join Davis for this free seminar where he discusses in-depth the new incision-less procedure and how it can affect those who suffer from chronic heartburn or acid reflux.  Topics include effectiveness, benefits, and what to expect during and after the procedure.  Following the seminar there will be an opportunity for questions.  For advanced reservations, call the hospital’s Community Outreach department at 704.660.4859.
