Learn the life-saving skills of CPR at the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider/BLS CPR course offered at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, February 22, from 6 to 10 p.m. The course is open to employees in the health care field and will cover basic skills in recognizing and treating life-threatening emergencies including cardiac arrest and choking for adult, child and infant victims. Class participants will also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children.
The Healthcare Provider/BLS CPR class is offered at the hospital in alteration with the Heartsaver CPR course for community members. The course cost is $50, plus a book fee. For more information and reservations, please call the hospital’s Community Outreach department at (704) 660-4859.
