Mooresville, NC (April 4, 2014) – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center has named Hannah Trapp, RN, BSN, as 2013 Employee of the Year. This award is the highest honor bestowed on a hospital employee each year. Hannah Trapp, a member of the Orthopedic, Neurology and Spine Department, was chosen from among 770 employees for the honor.
Although Trapp has only worked for Lake Norman Regional since 2012, she has made quite the positive impression on patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers with her knowledge, professionalism, and compassionate nature. Hannah Trapp graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and then received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Western Carolina University in Cullowee, N.C. She resides in Mooresville with her husband and daughter.
“Health care requires a special blend of great people skills, tireless energy and the ability to work well under pressure,” says Steve Midkiff, Chief Executive Officer. “People who work in health care share the common desire to help others and make a difference in people’s lives. It’s a pleasure to recognize our employees for their dedication to our patients and to providing outstanding care.”
Employees are nominated for the award by their hospital peers based on their commitment to patient care, their professionalism, and their contributions on the job.
“Each of our employees has a specific role in the delivery of quality health care to the people who live and work in the Mooresville / Lake Norman community,” said Midkiff. “Our success in meeting the needs of the patients we serve is dependent on the collective efforts of all employees.”
