Lake Norman Regional Medical Center Recognizes Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers at Annual Awards Luncheon

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (June 5, 2014) – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center recently recognized its Volunteer Auxiliary members at their Annual Awards Luncheon held May 21st at the Charles Mack Citizen Center for their generous service to the hospital. Presiding over the luncheon was Auxiliary President Janet White, who also gave the welcome, along with Leigh Whitfield, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the hospital, providing opening remarks. Whitfield stated: “The volunteers are our greatest ambassadors and highly-valued members of our hospital family and health care team.” She added: “We are extremely fortunate to have the volunteer professionals who comprise the hospital’s Auxiliary, and thank them today, and every day, for their dedication to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center and the community we serve.” Pastor Randy Sherrill, of Central United Methodist Church and Chairman of the hospital’s Pastoral Advisory Council provided the blessing, and special guest speakers for the awards program were Chief Carl Robbins and Officer Lauren Childers of the Mooresville Police Department.

Volunteers contributing more than 500 hours for the year were recognized and presented a certificate. Special recognition was given to three long-term volunteers, Fay Nell Ratledge, Katherine Sloop and Gloria Varela.
