MOORESVILLE, NC (October 21, 2013) – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center (LNRMC) is pleased to announce Shomeet Patel, MD, Cardiologist, with Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, has joined the hospital’s medical staff. Dr. Patel joins Daniel Koehler, DO, Richard Scherczinger, MD, and Stephen Iuliano, MD, in Sanger’s Lake Norman practice.
Dr. Patel received his Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery (M.B.B.S.) at Sardar Patel University and Pramukhswami Medical College in India. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mercer University at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, Georgia. He was named Resident of the Year followed by Cardiology Resident of the Year from Mercer University. He received his fellowship in Cardiology: Clinical, Nuclear, Echo, Invasive, and CTA, from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., where he was named Fellow of the Year in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Shomeet Patel is board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
