MOORESVILLE, NC (December 2, 2013) – The Imaging Department of Lake Norman Regional Medical Center (LNRMC) is pleased to announce that The American College of Radiology accreditation for the two Lorad Medical Systems Selenia digital mammography units at the Imaging Center has been renewed through January 25, 2017. The accreditation affirms Lake Norman Regional’s commitment to providing the highest level of image quality and patient safety.
The Women’s Imaging Center is designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology and is accredited in all breast imaging accreditation programs including Mammography, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy, and Breast Ultrasound as required to be a Center of Excellence.
The ACR is a national professional organization serving more than 36,000 diagnostic/interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
