Lake Norman Regional Medical Center's Volunteer Auxiliary Announces Annual Summer Junior Volunteer Class of 2013

MOORESVILLE, NC (July 8, 2013) – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center’s Volunteer Auxiliary is pleased to present its Annual Summer Junior Volunteer Class of 2013 under the leadership of Auxiliary Volunteer Connie Farrell with assistance from Junior Volunteer Committee members consisting of Peggy Cothran and Carol Ramey.  Volunteer Auxilians also assisting are Volunteer Day Captains Nancy Parenta, Esther Murphy, Debbie Smith, Gloria Varela, and Ruth Haston. 

A total of nine area high schools, including Mooresville High School, South Iredell HS, Lake Norman HS, Pine Lake Prep, Maiden HS, Bandy’s HS, Hough HS, Cox Mill HS, and the NC South of Science and Mathematics, are represented in the Junior Volunteer Class of 2013, and the class includes 31 juniors with four returning from last summer. Students in the program must be rising juniors or seniors in high school. Junior Volunteers fill volunteer positions in numerous departments throughout the hospital including the Laboratory, Women’s Services, Outpatient Surgery, Surgical Services, PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit), Endoscopy, Imaging Services, Health Information Management, Physical Rehabilitation, Admitting, and Visitor’s Desk Reception.

This summer’s roster of Junior Volunteers includes:  Logan Beegle, Lauren Broach, Jessica Cannon, Alexandra Chapman, Vamsi Chintalapah, Ian Cook, Noah Crees, Blake Creighton, Aleksandra Daws, Madeline Dignan, Trey Eades, Patrick Fry, Gabrielle Geiger, Ashley Herrington, Katie James, Edmund Jia, Elizabeth Kidder, Lauren Ladd, Mary Scott Lowery, Casey MacDermod, Shawna Mason, Niraja Pancholy, Kenlsey Parkman, Savanna Patterson, Kaila Pinit, Alexandra Porfiris, Viinya Posham, Peyton Roberts, Danielle Soult, Brittany Spears, and Joseph Blaine Willard.
