MOORESVILLE, NC (May 7, 2013) – National Hospital Week is May 12-18, and Lake Norman Regional Medical Center is using this opportunity to thank our dedicated staff. It’s because of these talented, dedicated men and women that we are able to provide top-quality health care close to home.
“At a time when people travel far and wide for health care, we are proud of the fact that we provide the latest in technology and services at our facility,” said Greg Lowe, CEO. “Anyone who has been to our hospital knows that our staff works hard to provide superior care and excellent customer service.”
The theme of this year’s National Hospital Week is “A Guiding Light for Changing Times,” which recognizes the important role that hospitals play in their communities. This week celebrates the history, technology and dedicated professionals that make our hospitals beacons of confidence and care.
“First and foremost, this week is a celebration of people,” said Lowe. “It’s about recognizing the people who work hard to provide superior health care 24/7. We’re extremely proud of each member of our staff and we recognize the important role they play in making us a trusted health care partner in our community.”
During Hospital Week, the Hospital Week Activities Committee, has planned numerous celebrations. The week begins with a hospital-wide, special breakfast, followed by the Volunteer Auxiliary’s Annual Tea for Associates on Tuesday and an Ice Cream Social on Wednesday. Each associate receives a special logo item goody on Thursday and then the week culminates with the annual Cookout Celebration on Friday. Iredell County EMS are also invited to the cookout in early celebration of their special recognition week that immediately follows Hospital Week.
