Norman Regional Medical Center Hosts "Put Out the Fire of Heartburn" Free Educational Program

MOORESVILLE, NC (July 8, 2013) – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center is hosting a free educational program, “Put Out the Fire of Heartburn” on Thursday, July 18th, at 6 p.m. in Community Room B.  The program will provide an opportunity to learn more about a new treatment aimed at providing a solution for chronic heartburn or acid reflux.

Peyton Davis, MD, FACS, is the first surgeon in North Carolina to be certified to conduct this procedure called, Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF). TIF is an incision-less surgery that uses the EsophyX device. Dr. Davis is a board certified surgeon.  

The public is invited to join Dr. Davis for this free educational program where he discusses in-depth the new incision-less procedure and how it can affect those who suffer from chronic heartburn or acid reflux.  Topics include effectiveness, benefits, and what to expect during and after the procedure.
