Seminars in Mooresville will be held at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, located at 171 Fairview Road, on October 9 and 23. The seminar will take place in Community Rooms A and B from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for both dates.

Seminars in Statesville will be held at the Statesville Civic Center, located at 301 S. Center Street, on October 2 and 16. Both seminars will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., however the October 2 seminar will be in Rooms A and B, while the October 16 seminar will be in Room E.

Lake Norman Regional is the only hospital in the area that offers MAKOplasty, a minimally invasive procedure on the knee that treats early to mid-stage osteoarthritis. Orthopedic surgeons, David Hillsgrove, MD and James McDonald, MD, will be speaking at the seminars about the procedure which uses MAKOplasty robotic-assisted technology to resurface the affected area of the knee while leaving healthy bone and tissue intact. MAKOplasty can provide quicker rehabilitation and more natural motion in the knee post-surgery compared to a total knee replacement.

The seminars are free, however registration is required. For more information regarding this month’s seminar, or to reserve your seat, please contact the Orthopedic Nurse Navigator at (704) 660-4164.
