Learn the life-saving skills of CPR at the Heart Association Heartsaver CPR course offered at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. The Adult First Aid will be on held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and also the Heartsavor CPR from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The course is open to the public.
The Heartsaver CPR class will cover basic skills in recognizing and treating life-threatening emergencies including cardiac arrest and choking for adult, child and infant victims. Class participants will also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children. The course cost is $50 and includes a book.
The First Aid class will cover first aid basics including medical, injury, and environmental emergencies. The cost of this class is $30.00.
