It's important to check the label, looking for 100 percent fruit juice, advises the American Dietetic Association. Fruit beverages that aren't 100 percent juice have added sugars that replace the nutrition found in juice and boost the calories in the drink. Clues to these beverages are in their names: fruit drink, fruit cocktail and fruitade.
