Free visitor parking is available in the main hospital parking lot located in front of the building. Handicapped parking is reserved at various locations, including in front of the building. If picking up a patient, pull through the covered entranceway at the front of the hospital.
Guests may purchase meals from the cafeteria. The cafeteria serves meals at the following times:
Breakfast- Weekdays, 6:30 a.m. - 9 a.m.
Lunch- Daily, 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Dinner- Weekdays, 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Vending machines are located in the cafeteria and the ER waiting area for your convenience.
Restrooms are located throughout the hospital. Visitor restrooms are located on the first floor between the lobby of the main patient entrance and the visitor entrance. Please do not use the facilities in a patient's room.
All of our Associates, volunteers, and physicians are required to wear identification badges. Please call the nurse's station if someone you do not know enters your room and cannot show you identification.
If you, your family members, or visitors leave the hospital after dark, you may call the switchboard operator and request a security officer for assistance.
The Lake Norman Regional Medical Center campus is tobacco-free. To provide a healthy environment for all patients, visitors, and associates, the use of tobacco products is prohibited on all hospital property, including The Medical Pavilion and Medical and Professional Plaza.
Use of photography within the hospital is strictly prohibited. Due to patients' privacy, the use of phones are restricted in certain areas of the hospital and should be completely turned off. The radio frequency signals used in this technology can interfere with the operation of medical equipment. Please watch for signs restricting use.
A number of hotels, motels, and fine restaurants are conveniently located accross from the hospital at exit 33 on I-77 in the Gateway. More hotel and dining choices are located just north of the hospital at exit 36 on I-77. The Gift Shop, operated and managed the Hospital Auxiliary, is located on the first floor at the visitor entrance. The gift shop is open weekdays, with limited weekend hours, and offers cards, flowers, toiletry items, and specialty items. Gift shop proceeds support various Auxiliary projects and charities.
General hospital visiting hours are from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., daily. Lake Norman Regional Medical Center does not restrict, limit or otherwise deny visitation privileges on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability.
Intensive Care Unit/Coronary Care Unit (ICU/CCU)
Patients are admitted to these units to receive intensive monitoring. It is important to the well-being of the patient that visiting hours are limited and restricted to only two immediate family members at a time.
- 9 a.m. - 10 a.m.
- 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.
- 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.
- 8 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Pediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU)
Family members of PCCU patients are welcome to stay overnight in the patient room. Children under 12 years of age are not permitted in the unit. Visitors are permitted between 11 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
The Stork's Landing Maternity Center
Immediate family members are allowed to visit at any time. A family and visitor waiting room is available and located on the third floor just outside of the entrance to The Stork's Landing. No children under 12 years of age, with the exception of siblings, may visit.
