Our admissions department is available 24-hours per day to assist you. If you are being admitted to our hospital for an outpatient surgical procedure or coming in for a scheduled diagnostic test, you should enter through the Patient Entrance, and proceed to the Outpatient Waiting Area to sign in. In a short time, an admissions clerk will be available to assist you. Parking is conveniently located close to this entrance, or in the East Entrance Parking Area.
If you are being admitted to the hospital for an inpatient visit, or coming to the hospital after 5:00 pm and before 7:00 am, please enter through the Emergency Entrance. An ER registration clerk will be available to assist with your registration. All emergency admissions should always report directly to the Emergency Department for immediate attention.
For an efficient registration process and to speed your admission, please present your insurance(s) cards as well as your Med-Key card at the beginning of the registration process. (If you do not have a Med-Key card, one will be provided for you upon request.)
Information about your rights regarding medical treatment, including a Living Will and Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare is available for you during the admissions process.
Because we cannot accept responsibility for personal items or valuables left in your room, we ask that you either leave them at home, or place them in our hospital safe for safe-keeping.
Pre-registration is available for most scheduled outpatient services. Please contact our Scheduling Department at (704) 660-4118 for assistance.
It is to your advantage to be familiar with your health insurance policy so that you can assist the hospital in obtaining your maximum benefits. We will file your hospital bill with your insurance carrier. To keep you informed, we will also send you statements while your insurance payment is pending.
While you are responsible for the resolution of your account, our Business Office is trained in the intricacies of insurance billing and will work with you and your insurance company to have a successful and timely resolution of your account. Should you not have insurance, or if your insurance does not cover all of your charges, there are options available that a financial counselor from our Business Office can discuss with you. If you meet the required qualifications, we can arrange for you to talk with a representative who can assist you in applying for Medicaid.

If you anticipate having trouble paying your hospital charges, we will confidentially assist you in working out a payment plan. It is our desire to assist you in determining how you can meet your financial obligation without incurring a financial burden.
