Joint Heartsaver CPR and Adult First-Aid Training Class Hosted by Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in November

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center is hosting the American Heart Association’s joint Heartsaver CPR and Adult First-Aid training class. Both courses will be held on Tuesday, November 6. Adult First-Aid will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Heartsaver CPR will be from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Training will take place in Room B at the hospital and will be open to the public.
The Heartsaver CPR training is designed to teach basic skills in recognizing and treating life-threatening emergencies like choking and cardiac arrest. Participants will learn to recognize warning signs of heart attacks and strokes in adults and breathing difficulties in children and adults.
The first-aid training is designed to teach the fundamentals of first aid, as it pertains to medical injuries and environmental emergencies. Participants will receive a card for successfully completing the training.
The courses can be taken together for $85 or individually. If taken individually, the Heartsaver CPR course is $65 and the Adult First-Aid course is $30.
