Lake Norman Regional Medical Center Announces Hope and Healing Support Groups
2/23/2018
MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of two new Hope and Healing support groups: Healing from the Heart and Pregnancy and Infant Loss. These support groups will meet every other month with Healing from the Heart beginning April 25 and Pregnancy and Infant Loss beginning May 23. Support group meetings are from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and meet in the Center for Lactation and Infant Nutrition at Lake Norman, 146 Medical Park Road, Suite 110, in Mooresville.
The Healing from the Heart Support Group is designed for mothers and family members whose birth experience was different than what they had expected. This is an appropriate group if you experienced a difficult delivery in which you are struggling to cope. Support and resources to help you cope with the emotions and stress you are feeling will be provided.
The Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group is designed for families who have experienced the loss of a child during pregnancy or up to one year of age. Participants receive resources and support to help guide and sustain you during the grieving process. The group’s goal is to provide a sense of community and bereavement support.
There is no cost to attend. Registration is requested, and the support group is open to all, regardless of where you received your healthcare. Visit our Events page for more information and to register. For additional questions, you may also contact Arin McClune, MSN, RMC-OB, Perinatal Program Coordinator, at (704) 660-4020.
