Patients & Visitors
Current Visitor Guidelines
Visitor Restrictions
To help maintain the safety of our patients and healthcare team members:
- We are allowing one designated support person (18 years and older) for these patient care units: orthopedics/neurology/spine and bariatrics; women’s services and The Stork’s Landing Maternity Center; and the emergency room.
- Surgery patients may have one adult accompany them on the day of surgery.
- Designed support persons will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms, including temperature checks.
- Patients receiving outpatient services including cardiopulmonary, imaging, infusion, labs, and medical records are asked to refrain from bringing additional visitors. Exceptions may apply including pediatric patients, those with mobility needs and special needs.
- A patient in isolation may have additional visitation restrictions including those with positive or pending COVID-19 test results.
- For their protection, no one under 18 years of age permitted, unless as a patient.
- These visitor restrictions apply to all inpatient and outpatient locations and clinics, including on-site doctors’ offices and off-campus hospital departments, such as physical rehabilitation and imaging services.
Due to the changing nature of COVID-19’s presence in our area, this policy may be revised accordingly in response to circumstances.
We appreciate the community’s understanding and compliance.
At Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, we understand that coming to the hospital as a patient or as a loved one's support person can be a difficult, often overwhelming experience. Whether you’re preparing for a hospital stay or stopping by to see friends and family, knowing where to go and what to bring will help make your visit less stressful. To make your experience easier, we want to provide you with helpful information you may need to plan your visit, such as what to expect, parking instructions, transportation and more.
