Lake Norman Regional Medical Center Welcomes Wound Care Program Director

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center welcomes Abena Kwarteng, MSCI, BS, RCP, BSHS, as wound care program director.
Kwarteng’s previous experience in healthcare was as a Healogics program director for Cone Health, where she oversaw significant projects and served as a liaison between Healogics, a leading provider of wound care, and Cone Health. In addition to her operational management duties, she successfully achieved Center of Distinction status for their Wound Care Center in 2020.
Kwarteng received a bachelor’s degree in health systems management from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. and a bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va. She holds a Master of Science in biomedical health informatics - clinical from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Kwarteng currently resides in the Huntersville area with her husband, Richard, who is an executive chef, and her three children. In her leisure time, she volunteers feeding the homeless within the Charlotte area, and supports her daughter in her mission work to provide basic needs to orphanages in Ghana.
