Transitioning Senior Circle to a Free Resource in 2018 -- Senior Circle February Program Announced at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center
1/5/2018
MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Lake Norman Regional Medical Center is transitioning its Senior Circle from a paid membership program to a free education resource for seniors.
The hospital has sponsored a local chapter of the national Senior Circle Association since 2014. The national organization closed at the end of 2017.
“We are excited to be transitioning Senior Circle from a dues-paying organization to a free, ongoing health and wellness event open to all seniors, said Mitzie McCurdy, Director of Community Outreach and Senior Circle. “We’ll be incorporating senior-related health events, physician-led talks and screenings into our overall community outreach program, and offer them free throughout the year.
Senior Circle program meetings are always held the first Wednesday of each month, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the hospital’s community rooms. Lake Norman Regional Medical Center encourages the seniors to attend a meeting, and to bring a friend or spouse.
The February Senior Circle program, What’s New at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, will be presented by Michael Nordness, the hospital’s Chief Operating Officer. He will discuss new service lines, new technologies and what the hospital is doing to make a patient’s stay even better.
